1966 Old Hickory Construction DuPont Safety Honor Zippo

Offered here is an original 1966 Zippo advertising lighter produced for Old Hickory Construction and featuring the DuPont oval logo with the inscription “Safety Honor.”

This brushed chrome lighter remains new in its original period box and appears unfired, with its original insert and paperwork present. The front decoration combines etched lettering with painted detail, creating a strong industrial and occupational advertising design.

Condition

The lighter presents exceptionally well overall, with clean brushed chrome surfaces, crisp advertising detail, and strong original color. A very small isolated pockmark, sometimes referred to by collectors as a flea bite, is present on the back of the case. This minor storage-related spot is clearly shown in the photographs and is the reason the lighter is graded Excellent 94 rather than Mint. No attempt has been made to conceal or minimize this condition point.
