Offered here is an original 1965 Zippo advertising lighter created as a Quarter Century Club service-award piece, most likely presented to an employee in recognition of 25 years of service.
The brushed-chrome case features a crisp two-color red-and-black etched-and-painted emblem centered around a bold letter “H,” with QUARTER CENTURY CLUB below. The specific company represented by the emblem has not been conclusively identified, making this an appealing research piece as well as a strong example of mid-century corporate service-award advertising.
This lighter is unquestionably unfired and remains complete with its original box, paper insert, and guarantee pamphlet. The insert, chimney, wick, and internal components present exceptionally well. The front graphic is bright, sharp, and fully legible.
The lighter is graded Excellent 93. The principal condition deduction is for several small storage-related pock marks or “flea bites” visible on the plain reverse side. These marks appear consistent with long-term storage rather than use. The box shows expected light age and edge wear but remains complete and displays very well.
