Absolutely pristine double-sided 1955 Kolene employee Zippo lighter. 

This 1955 lighter comes with the red candy stripe box with black thin bottom. The lighter is graded Gem Mint 100 with no flaws or blemishes. The box cover has a part of the art removed, probably with tape. The employee, Irving Bentzel's name is inscribed on the back. It is also across the front of the box. 

The tape on the front of the box with the name was put there by Zippo Mfg, we have seen several instances of this method of identification for that era used by Zippo.

100 Gem Mint - Gem Mint is indicative of a lighter that is unused and pristine in every way. It should have no blemishes of any kind and should be the same as the day it was produced. A Gem Mint grade is only used in rare circumstances when these conditions are met.
