Wow! One color etch and paint, but bold! Last year for nickel silver insert. 1951.
Really nice 1951 with a nickel silver insert. The lighter is very gently used and would display real well. There are two tiny dings on the non hinge side (shown in photo). Hinge and all of the lighter is solid. Crisp bottom stamp. For nearly 70 years old and struck, you wont find better.

In 1899, numerous barbwire production companies merged together to form the American Steel and Wire Company. These businesses included ones in Texas, Illinois, Massachusetts, Ohio, and several other states. Barbwire proved to be especially useful for ranchers in the West to fence in their livestock.
