1950 or ‘51 United Airlines Emblem Vintage Zippo Lighter - Nickel Silver Insert

Rare United Airlines Emblem Vintage Zippo! Nickel Silver Insert!

It's a 1950/51 lighter with a nickel silver insert. It has an incredible United Airlines logo affixed. It has a signature that says "Bernard Glavin" Here is the thing with this lighter other than this scratch and smaller one on the lid... this lighter is clean and neat and we believe has not ever been fired, but we don't want to declare that because the wick is a little dark. But there is no soot on the insert or in the incredibly clean case. 

So, we are not going to grade this piece, because it seems like new other than the scratches on front... and like most scratches on Zippos you can only see from certain angles. We have done our best to show it in photo. Really nice iconic brand lighter otherwise. 

It also has a significant scratch across the face. 

This piece is super interesting to vintage Zippo collectors and hard to grade.
