1959 RARE 9 Color Etch & Paint WH Hancock Rainbow Vintage Zippo Lighter
WOW! One of the Holy Grail of etch & paint Zippo lighters of the 50's!!
Nine color etch and paint is very rare. This lighter is 9 color and arguable 10. Several community experts say they have only one other instance of a 10 color and one 11 color. It is not common at all to go above 6 colors.
The lighter is in solid used condition. Insert is correct and hinge strong. It has gentle wear from use. There is a ding on the lid as shown in photo - but it was held a certain way to maximize the dent for the photo. you have to angle the lighter to see it.
The 9 color GRAPHICS outweighs every thing - if you are a collector of vintage etch and paint you won't likely ever have a chance to own a 9 color 1959 Zippo lighter.
WH Hancock was a leading producer of potatoes for many years beginning in the 1800's. Hancock County, Alabama is named after the family.
The lighter is graded Very Good 88 and would otherwise be excellent if not for the ding.
